Honduras is a Central American country which borders Nicaragua to the South, El Salvador to the West and Guatemala to the North. The capital city is Tegucigalpa, which has a population of more than 1 million inhabitants, and covers an area of around 110,000 square kilometres.

Puerto Cortés is connected commercially through its port to some of the most well known and important ports in the world. Other important cities in Honduras are La Ceiba, Comayagua, Choluteca, Cholollan, Tela, and Trujillo, all of which have their own special charm and are well worth visiting during your holiday in Honduras.
